About this role
Hadrian seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer specializing in forging to lead capital expenditure planning, automation strategy, and factory layout design for their Factories-as-a-Service division. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams to design and build automated forging production lines for aerospace and defense customers, translating technical drawings into efficient manufacturing solutions.
What you'll do
- Analyze customer drawings and production specifications to design and guide automation of forging, design-for-manufacturability, production, and inspection lines
- Lead capital expenditure planning, vendor selection, costing, and implementation schedules for forging equipment and systems
- Coordinate tooling, process, and automation teams to develop manufacturing plans and select appropriate equipment
- Design factory layouts and process flows for new forging capabilities across multiple programs
- Partner with suppliers, customers, Federal sales teams, and executives to deliver cost, schedule, and technical solutions
- Travel approximately 25% to DOD and prime facilities to support factory development efforts
