About this role

Hadrian seeks a hands-on Process Engineer to develop scalable manufacturing processes for complex sheet metal parts supporting aerospace and defense programs. You'll translate technical data into actionable production strategies, defining tooling, equipment, and inspection requirements while collaborating across design, operations, and customer teams.

What you'll do

  • Analyze engineering data and BOMs to classify sheet metal parts into process families and scope production requirements
  • Develop cycle time estimates and detailed process routings from first principles
  • Define factory infrastructure needs for cutting, forming, welding, finishing, and inspection operations
  • Specify tools, jigs, fixtures, and inspection equipment required for production
  • Create staffing, equipment layout, and quality assurance plans based on process design
  • Drive schedule recovery, manufacturability improvements, and risk mitigation for critical programs

  • Sheet metal manufacturing and process engineering (5+ years)
  • Flat pattern development, bend allowances, and GD&T
