About this role

Hadrian seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and commission automated robotic manufacturing cells for aerospace and defense production. You'll collaborate with hardware, software, and robotics teams to develop scalable automation systems that support high-precision machining across multiple factories.

What you'll do

  • Design mechanical systems for automated robotic cells including end effectors, fixtures, and layouts
  • Install, commission, and troubleshoot automation equipment on production floors
  • Perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Develop documentation and procedures for scalable automation deployment
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve complex mechanical system issues
  • Integrate sensors, pneumatic, and mechanical components into robotic systems

  • CAD design (SolidWorks preferred)
  • End-of-arm tooling and fixture design for industrial robots
  • Robotic cell layout and floor plan design
  • Finite element analysis and payload calculations for heavy robots

  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic expertise
  • Technical communication and documentation
