About this role
Hadrian seeks a hands-on Systems Engineer to lead the integration and commissioning of metal additive manufacturing equipment into fully automated production systems. You'll own equipment qualification, reliability programs, and production readiness across multiple OEM platforms while serving as the technical authority for powder bed fusion systems.
What you'll do
- Execute end-to-end integration of metal AM machines and cell infrastructure; lead FAT/SAT protocols against Hadrian acceptance criteria
- Define system requirements, interface control documents, and machine acceptance standards that scale across multiple OEMs and sites
- Build and own commissioning checklists, FAT/SAT playbooks, and validation plans in partnership with Quality and Process teams
- Develop and execute reliability engineering programs including preventive maintenance strategy, spare parts planning, and MTBF/MTTR tracking
- Lead hardware and firmware improvements to enhance build envelope utilization, process stability, and throughput while maintaining configuration control
- Own standard work documentation, equipment control procedures, safety interlocks, and training materials for regulated environments
