Tire Test Engineer

About this role

Hankook Tire seeks a Test Engineer to plan and execute physical performance testing of tires for passenger cars, light trucks, and commercial vehicles at their U.S. Technical Center in Ohio. The role involves managing lab testing protocols, coordinating benchmarking studies, collaborating across departments, and delivering technical reports to support product development and OEM applications.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and manage tire testing and data processing for rolling resistance, uniformity, stiffness, wear, and dimensional characteristics
• Oversee control testing, calibration management, quality audits, and lab-to-lab correlation studies
• Develop benchmark database by collecting competitor and internal tire performance metrics across multiple testing methods
• Manage project execution for PCR and LTR tire testing with cross-functional coordination with customers, manufacturing, and marketing
• Conduct tire and material characterization including physical analysis and chemical testing
• Maintain warehouse inventory of test and development tires and document findings in written reports and presentations
