AME Equipment Engineer - Controls

About this role

Harbinger, an innovative EV manufacturer, seeks an AME Equipment Engineer to design and deploy control systems for advanced manufacturing equipment. You'll lead PLC/HMI architecture, automation integration, and electrical design while supporting high-volume production scaling in Garden Grove, CA.

What you'll do

• Design and deploy control system architecture including PLCs, HMI, and SCADA systems for manufacturing equipment
• Program and integrate complex automation including robotic welding, conveyance systems, AGVs, presses, and machine vision
• Create electrical schematics and ensure compliance with industrial safety standards (ANSI/RIA, ISO 13849)
• Implement data acquisition and MES integration for OEE tracking and production metrics
• Lead equipment projects from concept through commissioning and production ramp-up
• Troubleshoot electrical and software issues to maximize equipment effectiveness
