About this role

Harmattan AI, a $1.4B defense technology company, seeks a SOCOM Business Developer to drive growth within U.S. Special Operations Command. You'll own the full sales cycle from operator engagement through contract closure, managing pipeline development, conducting system demonstrations, and building relationships across SOF units and acquisition stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Identify and pursue opportunities across SOF units, TSOCs, and SOCOM components
  • Own full sales cycle from initial operator contact through contract closure
  • Build and manage qualified opportunity pipeline
  • Conduct system demos and operational evaluations with field units
  • Convert evaluations into OTAs and funded defense programs
  • Represent company at industry events and translate field feedback into product insights

  • Business development and defense sales (3+ years)
  • SOCOM/SOF ecosystem knowledge and relationships
  • Defense technology understanding (UAS, C-UAS, autonomy, sensors)
  • Complex procurement and multi-stakeholder deal navigation
  • Army acquisition processes, OTA/IDIQ pathways, DoD cycles
  • Senior-level written and verbal communication
  • Strategic thinking and adaptability
  • Mission-driven execution mindset
