Legal Engineer - Custom Solutions

About this role

Harvey seeks a Legal Engineer to design and deploy custom AI solutions for strategic customers, combining legal expertise with platform knowledge to build tailored agents and playbooks that address specific client needs.

What you'll do

• Scope, design and build custom AI agents, playbooks and prompts for key customers
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into working solutions
• Prototype, test and iterate on solutions, including piloting new platform features
• Communicate market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to identify enhancement opportunities
• Partner with Legal Engineering and Go-to-Market teams to drive customer success and growth
• Create reusable assets and documentation to accelerate future deployments

What they're looking for

• Legal expertise (JD or equivalent)
• 5+ years legal practice experience at top-tier firms or in-house teams
• Curiosity and testing-oriented mindset
• Stakeholder relationship building and communication
• AI tool proficiency in legal contexts
• Process mapping and requirements gathering
• Solution design and implementation
• Product feedback and optimization
