Legal Engineer - Custom Solutions

About this role

Harvey seeks a Legal Engineer to design and deploy custom AI solutions for enterprise legal clients. You'll scope, build, and optimize tailored agents and workflows while partnering with customers and internal teams to drive adoption and gather product feedback.

What you'll do

• Scope, design and build custom AI agents, playbooks and prompts for strategic customers
• Establish relationships with senior stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into working solutions
• Prototype, test and iterate solutions, including piloting new Harvey platform features
• Communicate market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to inform platform enhancements
• Create reusable assets and best practices documentation to accelerate future deployments
• Partner with Legal Engineering and Go-to-Market teams to measure and drive customer growth

What they're looking for

• Legal expertise and JD or equivalent qualification
• 5+ years of legal practice at top-tier firms or in-house teams
• Curiosity and problem-solving mindset for testing approaches
• Strong stakeholder communication and relationship-building abilities
• AI tool proficiency in legal context (preferred)
• Process mapping and requirements gathering
• Platform learning and technical configuration skills
