Software Engineer

About this role

Harvey AI is hiring a Software Engineer to design and operate large-scale infrastructure services supporting their AI-powered legal tech platform across 50+ global regions. You'll manage distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and automation tooling while collaborating on reliability, security, and compliance initiatives.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deploy infrastructure services and automation tools for platform growth
• Manage and optimize compute, storage, and networking components across 50+ global regions
• Lead incident management, postmortems, and root cause analyses with long-term improvements
• Evaluate infrastructure decisions and capacity planning for reliability and scalability
• Collaborate across teams on security, compliance, and software lifecycle improvements
• Operate Kubernetes clusters and maintain CI/CD pipelines in production

• Distributed systems design and operation (multi-region deployment, load balancing, disaster recovery)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Pulumi)
• Kubernetes administration and workload orchestration
• Python, Bash, or scripting for automation and tooling
• Observability and monitoring (Datadog, OpenTelemetry, SLIs/SLOs)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation
• Database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
