About this role
Havoc seeks a Robotics Engineer to design and deploy end-to-end autonomy systems for unmanned ground vehicles in complex, real-world environments. You'll own the full autonomy stack—from control and motion planning to perception integration—working with ROS2-based systems that operate beyond the lab in operational missions.
What you'll do
- Design and implement control algorithms and motion planning strategies for autonomous ground vehicles
- Develop and integrate perception pipelines using multi-sensor fusion (camera, lidar, radar, IMU)
- Build and maintain ROS2-based autonomy stacks with mission planning and real-time navigation logic
- Conduct field testing, performance monitoring, and debugging of deployed autonomous systems
- Collaborate with hardware and embedded teams to drive autonomy integration from prototype to deployment
- Translate operational requirements into autonomy capabilities while managing real-world constraints
What they're looking for
- C++ and Python development in Linux environments
- ROS2 architecture and deployment
- Control systems design and vehicle dynamics modeling
- Motion planning algorithms (RRT, MPC, A*)
- Multi-sensor perception and sensor fusion
- SLAM and GPS-denied navigation
- Systems debugging and real-time systems experience
- Ground vehicle autonomy platforms
Benefits
- 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employee and family
- Work on mission-critical real-world robotics systems
- Immediate meaningful impact with systems tested in operational environments
- Cross-functional collaboration with hardware and embedded engineering teams
