C++ Software Engineer

About this role

Hawk-Eye Innovations seeks a mid-level C++ Software Engineer to join their Innovation Labs R&D team in Budapest. You'll develop next-generation sports technology through rapid prototyping, real-time data processing, and computer vision projects, working in a hybrid role with hands-on field testing at live events.

What you'll do

• Design and implement proof-of-concept prototypes for next-generation sports tech solutions
• Develop multithreaded C++ applications optimized for real-time processing and performance
• Conduct R&D exploration on novel algorithms, hardware integration, and network protocols
• Participate in field testing and early-stage deployments at live sporting events
• Collaborate with research teams on open-ended technical challenges and benchmarking
• Contribute to technical brainstorming sessions and help shape architectural decisions

• Modern C++ (C++14/17/20)
• Multithreaded programming and real-time optimization
• Git and Visual Studio
• Debugging and performance profiling
• Graphics/video libraries (OpenCV, OpenGL, FFmpeg preferred)
• Cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
• Machine learning deployment
• Real-time data streaming
