About this role
Heart Aerospace is hiring Structures Analysts to support the development of the ES-30, a 30-passenger hybrid-electric aircraft. You'll perform structural analysis, build FEA models, and collaborate with engineers on airframe design optimization in a fast-paced aerospace startup environment.
What you'll do
- Conduct structural analysis using FEA tools (Nastran, Patran, Abaqus, ANSYS) for static, dynamic, and fatigue evaluations
- Build and modify finite element models for composite and metallic aircraft components
- Perform hand calculations and validate analysis results to support preliminary design
- Collaborate with design engineers on structural sizing and weight optimization
- Support structural testing activities including setup, data review, and correlation with simulations
- Document analysis work, maintain organized records of models, and investigate structural issues

- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools
- Structural mechanics and materials knowledge
- Composite and metallic structures experience
- Hand calculation and preliminary design methods
- Technical writing and communication
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- CAD tools (preferred)
- Python or scripting (preferred)

- Base pay: $108,000–$135,000 (Analyst I) or $124,000–$155,000 (Analyst II)
