Test Engineer III

About this role

Heartflow seeks a Test Engineer III to build and maintain automated test coverage for regulated cardiac imaging software. You'll develop end-to-end tests across UI, API, and backend systems while leveraging AI-assisted automation techniques in a medical device quality environment.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain automated end-to-end tests covering user workflows across UI, API, and back-end services
• Apply AI-assisted test automation techniques to expand coverage and reduce maintenance overhead
• Execute post-deployment verification activities including production smoke tests and monitoring checks
• Contribute to test plans, protocols, and reports meeting QMS documentation standards
• Investigate test failures, file defect reports, and partner with developers to resolve issues
• Maintain automated tests in CI/CD pipelines and respond to pipeline failures

• Selenium and Playwright UI automation frameworks
• API testing tools (REST Assured, Postman, Karate)
• Medical device QMS practices and standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, 21 CFR Part 820)
• AI-assisted testing tools and techniques
• Programming in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#
• CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Test plan and protocol documentation
• Debugging and failure investigation
