Forward Deployed Engineer

About this role

Heidi seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with strategic healthcare customers, owning the complete technical lifecycle from deployment through success. You'll build clinical workflows, integrate with EHR systems, solve production issues, and feed customer insights back to shape the product roadmap.

What you'll do

• Deploy and configure Heidi's AI Care Partner in real clinical environments with hospital IT and security teams
• Build custom workflow solutions and integrations tailored to specific healthcare customer needs
• Debug production issues and provide ongoing technical support post-launch
• Identify patterns in field deployments and advocate for product improvements based on customer needs
• Write clean, testable code with proper error handling and observability for healthcare operations
• Collaborate with product, platform, and deployment teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions

What they're looking for

• 5+ years software engineering experience with shipped production systems
• Full-stack or product engineering fundamentals (backend, integrations, operations)
• EHR integration and healthcare system experience
• Strong product judgment and ability to scope work appropriately
• Implementation discipline with clean, testable code
• Customer communication and stakeholder management
• Debugging and troubleshooting complex systems
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations
