About this role
Helsing is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop and deploy detection and tracking models for their AI-powered drone platforms, Altra and HX-2. This applied ML role focuses on building robust, production-ready systems using frameworks like PyTorch, optimizing for resource-constrained environments, and ensuring data quality throughout the model lifecycle. You'll be a key contributor to protecting democracies through cutting-edge AI solutions.
What you'll do
- Train and fine-tune object detection models (YOLO, DETR, Faster R-CNN).
- Implement and improve multi-object tracking pipelines (SORT, DeepSORT, ByteTrack).
- Evaluate model performance and iterate on data/model improvements.
- Manage the full data pipeline, from curation to annotation and augmentation.
- Optimize models for deployment on edge platforms using techniques like quantization and TensorRT.
