Test Engineer

About this role

Hermeus, a defense aviation company, seeks a Test Engineer in Los Angeles to develop and operate test assets for hypersonic aircraft. You'll work across multiple vehicle subsystems in a fast-paced environment, supporting rapid prototyping and high-speed system delivery for defense applications.

What you'll do

• Develop, build, and analyze test assets for hypersonic vehicles
• Operate and conduct testing on vehicle subsystems
• Support testing across hydraulic, fuel, structural, and electrical systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in rapid iteration cycles
• Design and execute test procedures for mechanisms and airframe components
• Contribute to iterative hardware development and validation
