Weld Manufacturing Engineer

About this role

Hermeus, a defense aviation company, is seeking a Welding Manufacturing Engineer to develop advanced welding processes and designs that support rapid prototyping and manufacturing of high-speed aircraft. You'll work cross-functionally to translate engineering concepts into production-ready components for defense applications.

What you'll do

• Develop and optimize weld processes, fixtures, and joint designs for prototype and production hardware
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to transition concepts from R&D to flight-ready systems
• Support rapid iterative prototyping cycles aligned with battlefield deployment timelines
• Troubleshoot welding challenges and implement process improvements
• Ensure weld quality and integrity for advanced aerospace applications
• Participate in hands-on fabrication and integration activities
