Software Engineer, Config

About this role

Higharc, a well-funded startup transforming home design and construction, seeks a full-stack Software Engineer to build core configuration features. You'll own end-to-end development of complex rule engines, customization interfaces, and backend systems that handle pricing, inventory, and constraint logic across the product stack.

What you'll do

• Develop full-stack features across UI, APIs, business logic, and data models
• Design and implement rule engines managing pricing, inventory, availability, and constraints
• Create configuration experiences handling complex interdependent user choices
• Optimize backend performance through query tuning, indexing, and bottleneck resolution
• Build search, filtering, and querying systems for large datasets
• Bridge 3D/CAD design tools with underlying data and business logic

What they're looking for

• Full-stack engineering (4+ years)
• React
• SQL and query optimization
• API design
• Configurator or rule-engine UX
• System architecture and extensibility
• UX intuition
• 3D/CAD or visual design tools (preferred)
