Software Validation and Verification (V&V) Engineer

About this role

Horizon Surgical Systems Inc. seeks a Software V&V Engineer to support testing and quality assurance for an AI-driven surgical robotic system in ophthalmology. You'll work cross-functionally to execute software tests, maintain QA documentation, and track defects while adhering to medical device standards.

What you'll do

• Assist in planning, executing, and reporting software testing activities per IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971 standards
• Collaborate with software testing, system testing, and hardware development teams on cross-functional testing efforts
• Prepare and review medical software quality assurance documentation for development stage checkpoints
• Support creation and updating of defect reports and participate in defect review board meetings
• Learn from senior engineers and contribute to accurate status reporting
• Assist with test case writing and execution activities
