About this role

Human Computer Lab, a robotics startup, seeks an electrical engineering intern to design and validate PCBAs for LeLamp, an expressive consumer robot. You'll work hands-on from schematic through board bring-up, debugging hardware and supporting system integration with the founding team in San Francisco.

What you'll do

  • Design and validate PCBAs for power distribution, motor control, sensing, and compute subsystems
  • Perform hands-on bench work including soldering, rework, probing, and board bring-up
  • Debug hardware issues systematically and document findings
  • Support schematic and layout work from fabrication through testing and iteration
  • Review schematics, layouts, and BOMs with teammates
  • Collaborate on system integration and hardware-firmware cross-boundary debugging

What they're looking for

  • PCB design using Altium or similar tools (schematics and layout)
  • Soldering and component rework
  • Oscilloscope and signal probing
  • Power electronics and motor control experience
