Industrial Engineer

Hunter Douglas seeks an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, plant layouts, and operational efficiency at their Salt Lake City facility. This role focuses on ensuring employee safety, product quality, and meeting production schedules through continuous process improvement and cycle time management.

What you'll do

• Conduct weekly safety walks and implement countermeasures for industrial engineering risks and ergonomic issues
• Develop and implement optimal plant and process layouts, including packaging flows
• Measure, define, and audit cycle times monthly; determine required headcount based on forecasted volume
• Lead multidisciplinary teams on industrial engineering studies and validate performance during process launches
• Analyze and balance production lines; perform ergonomic analyses for all plant operations
• Support new product launches and special projects; establish SMART goals for IE KPIs
