Software Engineer I/II, Machine Learning

About this role

Iambic Therapeutics seeks an ML Software Engineer to build and deploy production machine learning systems supporting drug discovery. You'll work with ML scientists and engineers to develop scalable ML workflows, GPU-accelerated services, and reliable inference pipelines while maintaining strong observability and CI/CD practices.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain production ML workflows including model fine-tuning, batch/online inference, and evaluation with observability
• Deploy GPU-accelerated ML services using cloud orchestration and modern tooling
• Collaborate with ML scientists to translate research models into scalable software solutions
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for ML systems
• Conduct code reviews and mentor peers on MLOps and software engineering best practices
• Capture requirements and scope milestones with cross-functional teams

• Python (packaging, type hints, testing, performance optimization)
• ML frameworks and tools (PyTorch, Hugging Face, vLLM, Triton, ONNX Runtime)
• Workflow orchestration (Prefect, Airflow, or Luigi)
• AWS cloud deployment, containerization, and GPU workload management
• Data tools (Pandas, Apache Arrow, S3, Parquet)
• CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Cross-disciplinary communication and collaboration
• Scientific domain knowledge or drug discovery experience (preferred)
