AIT Engineer

About this role

ICEYE seeks an experienced AIT Engineer to lead assembly, integration, and testing of satellite systems with optical payloads in a dynamic production environment. You'll work hands-on with flight hardware in cleanroom conditions, integrating optical systems into spacecraft platforms while supporting process definition and manufacturing scale-up.

What you'll do

• Execute assembly, integration, and testing of satellite subsystems and optical payloads using precision equipment
• Perform optical alignment activities including focus, tilt, centering, and boresight verification
• Conduct hands-on inspection and verification of satellite hardware in cleanroom environments
• Identify non-conformances, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Define and execute test procedures for subsystem and system-level validation
• Collaborate with engineering teams and external suppliers on payload integration and process improvement

• Assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of complex hardware
• Cleanroom procedures and precision manufacturing
• System-level understanding across optical, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
• Technical documentation and process definition
• Root cause analysis and troubleshooting
• Earth Observation or optical payload experience
