RF Engineer, Radar Payload Team

About this role

ICEYE seeks an RF Engineer to support the design, testing, and improvement of radar payloads for satellite earth observation systems. You'll work on X-band and higher frequency RF hardware, performing lab testing, simulations, and validation while collaborating with cross-functional aerospace teams.

What you'll do

• Maintain and improve existing RF hardware systems for radar payloads
• Design, simulate, and validate RF circuits for X-band and above frequencies
• Perform hands-on lab testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis using RF equipment
• Run electromagnetic and circuit simulations, correlating results with measurements
• Create and review schematics and PCB layouts with RF design best practices
• Support verification activities including test plans and prototype validation

What they're looking for

• RF engineering with 4+ years product development experience
• RF test equipment operation (VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
• PCB design tools (Altium) and RF layout principles
• RF simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, CST)
• RF fundamentals (linearity, noise figure, phase noise, filtering)
• Laboratory troubleshooting and measurement techniques
• Cross-functional team collaboration
• Python for analysis or automation (nice to have)
