Satellite Production Technician, Systems and Software

About this role

ICEYE seeks a Satellite Production Technician to conduct comprehensive testing and verification of SAR satellites in Espoo, Finland. You'll execute automated test procedures, perform operational simulations, manage configuration control, and support launch campaigns while ensuring aerospace quality standards are met.

What you'll do

• Execute automated verification procedures for functional, payload, and bus tests at subsystem and system levels
• Conduct operational simulations (MockOps) to verify satellite operational readiness
• Operate mechanical and electrical ground support equipment for test operations
• Manage schedule priorities, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate documentation in Jira, create non-conformance reports (NCRs), and support launch campaigns
• Mentor junior technicians and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What they're looking for

• Linux environment proficiency
• Python or Shell scripting for test automation
• Lab equipment operation (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes)
• Technical drawing and schematic interpretation
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Jira/Confluence experience (nice to have)
• Embedded systems or electronics knowledge (nice to have)
