Software Engineer, Cloud Security

About this role

Illumio is seeking a Software Engineer to build cloud security microservices that detect and contain cyberattacks across hybrid multi-cloud environments. You'll develop containerized services processing real-time network telemetry, mentor junior engineers, and own critical features throughout their lifecycle in a 5-day on-site role in Sunnyvale.

What you'll do

• Develop and design containerized microservices for a distributed multi-tenant cloud security platform
• Process real-time events and network telemetry data from AWS, Azure, and GCP to provide security insights
• Design architecture, defend technical decisions, and deliver robust implementations
• Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns
• Own operational aspects and ensure code quality through testing and monitoring
• Partner with Product Management to refine requirements and understand customer needs
