IEM seeks an experienced CNC Programmer for their Fremont facility to develop machine programs, optimize manufacturing processes, and support the Metal Fabrication department. The role involves programming specialized equipment like laser/punch combos and press brakes while driving process improvements and operational efficiency.

What you'll do

  • Generate machine programs for manufactured components using various CNC equipment
  • Provide daily support to Metal Fabrication and troubleshoot production/machinery issues
  • Evaluate equipment usage and recommend best practices for manufacturing procedures
  • Develop work instructions, SOPs, and training materials for consistent operations
  • Assess component manufacturability and recommend optimal fabrication methods
  • Support automation initiatives and participate in kaizen events and root cause analysis

  • CNC programming (3+ years experience)
  • Sheet metal fabrication processes and equipment
  • Press brakes, fiber lasers, punching, and automation
  • CAD/CAM software and computer literacy
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma methods
  • Technical documentation and training development
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
