About this role

IEM is hiring an Estimation Engineer to support the sales division by developing technical quotations and cost estimates for electrical switchgear projects. This remote role combines engineering analysis, proposal preparation, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver accurate pricing for low and medium voltage equipment.

What you'll do

  • Prepare technical quotations for LV and MV switchgear projects by analyzing requirements and costs
  • Develop accurate cost estimates by evaluating material, labor, equipment, and tooling expenses
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and RFQs to develop competitive proposals
  • Identify and quantify cost uncertainties to create reliable costing models
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement teams throughout the quotation process
  • Obtain vendor pricing for buyout items and update estimates based on scope changes
