About this role

IEM seeks an experienced Sales Engineer to drive sales of power distribution products (MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, panelboards) in the Houston area with a remote-based office. The role involves managing electrical contractor and end-user accounts, developing complex project quotations, and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the sales cycle.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute account plans with the Sales Director for medium and large electrical contractor clients
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts
  • Create comprehensive project proposals combining IEM and non-IEM products into complete bill-of-material packages
  • Identify revenue opportunities and manage the client buying journey from initial engagement through proposal delivery
  • Oversee handover to execution teams and maintain oversight of commercial performance and customer satisfaction
  • Provide forecasting data and account insights to support sales planning and internal stakeholder execution
