About this role
InfluxData is seeking a Software Engineer to bolster their Database Reliability and Performance team, focusing on the InfluxDB Enterprise 3 product. You'll be responsible for building and executing automated tests, identifying performance bottlenecks, and ensuring the database's reliability and accuracy. This role blends software engineering, QA, and performance testing within a remote-first, collaborative environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute automated test workflows.
- Implement and maintain test contracts for query accuracy and data validation.
- Simulate real-world customer workloads and failure scenarios.
- Collaborate with developers to translate specifications into test constraints.
- Investigate performance data and identify architectural bottlenecks.
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
