Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure

About this role

Join Google's Intrinsic robotics team as a Software Engineer on the Data Infrastructure team to build scalable systems that collect, process, and manage data powering intelligent industrial robots. You'll design data pipelines that feed machine learning models while collaborating with product, engineering, and research teams to enable robot fleets to operate more effectively.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing robotics sensor data and telemetry
• Build data infrastructure that trains next-generation robot models
• Develop tools for data exploration, analysis, and visualization
• Implement data security and privacy best practices across systems
• Collaborate with customers, product managers, and researchers to customize data solutions
• Integrate cloud and on-device Kubernetes-based services

What they're looking for

• 4+ years professional software engineering experience on medium to large projects
• Proficiency in C++, Golang, or Python
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies
• Machine learning pipeline development
• Data governance and compliance knowledge
• Robotics systems familiarity
