About this role
Inversion seeks an Avionics Build and Integration Engineer II to lead the physical assembly and vehicle-level integration of avionics systems for hypersonic reentry spacecraft. You'll manage harness routing, component mounting, and electrical testing while bridging design engineering and production floor operations for high-reliability flight hardware.
What you'll do
- Own physical integration, mechanical packaging, and routing of avionics hardware and electrical harnesses on the Arc vehicle
- Develop and execute manufacturing work instructions and assembly procedures for flight batteries, power distribution, computers, and RF systems
- Perform hands-on electrical assembly including wire crimping, connector pinning, soldering, and ruggedized electronics assembly
- Execute continuity, isolation, bonding, and power-on testing of avionics and subsystems
- Collaborate with Platform Avionics team and production floor to resolve integration challenges
- Support troubleshooting and rework of flight hardware issues
