About this role
Inversion is seeking a Ground Test Engineer II to lead critical ground testing campaigns for advanced reentry systems, including arc jet tests, wind tunnel coordination, and data analysis. You'll develop test plans, execute complex testing protocols, and provide technical insights that validate designs and reduce risk before flight operations.
What you'll do
- Lead arc jet test campaigns from planning through execution, inspection, and data review
- Coordinate wind tunnel testing with external facilities, vendors, and internal teams
- Develop and own test plans, procedures, instrumentation layouts, reports, and analyses
- Process and reduce test data to generate technical conclusions and actionable recommendations
- Support design validation and model verification for reentry vehicle systems
- Execute broad range of ground test activities to retire technical risk
