About this role

Inversion seeks a Propulsion and Energetics Test Engineer II to design, build, and operate ground test stands for advanced reentry vehicle systems. You'll lead critical test campaigns for propulsion and thermal protection systems, manage data processing, and coordinate with engineering teams to validate designs and reduce technical risk.

What you'll do

  • Plan, design, build, and operate propulsion, fluids, and thermal protection system test stands with emphasis on safety and accountability
  • Support subsystem, component, and integrated hardware testing activities
  • Develop test instrumentation, measurement methods, and processes with detailed documentation
  • Coordinate with design engineers and technicians on test planning, operations, and analysis
  • Conduct post-test data processing and test readiness reviews
