Finance Systems & AI Engineer

About this role

Ironclad seeks a Senior Finance Systems & AI Engineer to build and maintain the data infrastructure, system integrations, and AI automation powering the Finance organization. You'll own the EPM platform, design finance system architecture, automate the close process, and deploy AI agents to eliminate manual finance work.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain low-touch integrations across the Finance stack using iPaaS platforms and BigQuery
• Own the FP&A planning platform end-to-end including model architecture, hierarchies, and forecasting
• Identify and automate high-cost manual steps in the monthly close cycle (reconciliations, journal entries, accruals)
• Build AI agents and agentic workflows for variance analysis, anomaly detection, and reconciliation
• Define and enforce data governance standards including field definitions, taxonomy, and change-control SLAs
• Design human-in-the-loop controls to ensure automated outputs are trustworthy and SOX-compliant

• Python for scripting and automation prototyping
• Modern EPM platform experience (data model design, formula logic, integration)
• BigQuery and dbt for data transformation
• NetSuite or equivalent ERP system knowledge
• AI/LLM deployment and agentic workflow design
• iPaaS platform configuration
• Finance systems and FP&A process knowledge
• Data governance and control design
