Software Engineer, New Grad

About this role

IXL Learning seeks new computer science graduates to join their engineering teams building personalized educational products used by millions globally. You'll contribute to backend, frontend, mobile, or full-stack development while working on impactful features across their suite of learning platforms.

What you'll do

• Develop backend logic, application features, and user interfaces for educational products
• Participate in full development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, debugging, and optimization
• Own projects from conception through delivery in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to design solutions meeting student and teacher needs
• Select and implement appropriate technologies for new features and products
• Contribute to one of multiple specialized teams: backend, frontend, mobile, or full-stack

• Strong programming fundamentals
• Analytical reasoning and problem-solving
• Java, Python, or JavaScript (preferred)
• Unix/Linux experience
• SQL knowledge
• React or D3 libraries (for frontend track)
• Swift (for iOS development track)
