Founding Engineer ($140K-$180K + Equity) at Nero

About this role

Join Nero as a founding engineer to build monetization infrastructure for livestreaming platforms like Twitch and TikTok. You'll work directly with the CTO on real-time systems serving 600K+ monthly users in the creator economy, with existing traction of $500K+ monthly GMV.

What you'll do

• Architect and implement high-performance real-time systems including websocket-based live queues and peer-to-peer payment processing
• Build 0-1 products from scratch such as automated clipping engines and fan CRM systems
• Own infrastructure and reliability stack, establishing CI/CD pipelines and monitoring for hundreds of thousands of concurrent users
• Work directly with the CTO on complex technical problems end-to-end
• Establish systems supporting creator payments and fan engagement tools
