About this role

Asteroid, a YC-backed AI startup, seeks a Founding Product Engineer to design and build the user experience for browser-based AI agents that supervise complex workflows. You'll own the entire product from design system to frontend, shaping how humans interact with the next generation of AI agents in healthcare and enterprise settings.

What you'll do

• Design and build end-to-end platform UX with a unified design system using TypeScript and Go
• Conduct user interviews and analyze analytics to drive adoption and iterate on onboarding
• Own full-stack features from backend infrastructure to landing pages and customer-facing tools
• Translate customer feedback into high-impact platform improvements
• Manage customer accounts directly and gather insights for product direction
• Define novel AI-native interaction paradigms beyond traditional chat interfaces
