About this role
Jane Street seeks a Security Operations Engineer to strengthen IT security across the firm's computing platforms and identities. You'll deploy security controls, manage vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and collaborate across teams to solve complex security challenges through both technical and operational solutions.
What you'll do
- Deploy, document, and implement security controls at scale across IT infrastructure
- Support vulnerability management program by detecting and mitigating security gaps
- Provide incident response guidance and support to IT department during security events
- Develop technical and non-technical solutions with engineering teams to address security concerns
- Develop and maintain operational playbooks and procedures for the security team
- Communicate complex technical security issues to diverse audiences across the organization

- Security and operations engineering (5-7 years experience)
- Windows, macOS, and hybrid identity platform administration
- Endpoint security controls (EDR, application control, encryption, firewalls)
- PowerShell scripting for automation and data analysis
- Security incident response and triage
- Log analysis and system performance troubleshooting
- Knowledge of attack patterns and adversary methods
- Strong written and verbal communication
