What you'll do
- Perform fire protection engineering services including life safety code consulting, sprinkler design, and fire alarm design under supervision
- Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with professional standards
- Conduct building code analyses, egress evaluations, and fire detection/alarm system reviews
- Perform field investigations and inspections to resolve design problems and verify calculations
- Apply engineering calculations for sprinkler systems, water supplies, smoke control, and means of egress
- Prepare CAD documents and submit progress reports to project managers
