Software Quality Simulation Specialist

About this role

Kodiak Robotics seeks a Simulation Operations Specialist to develop test plans, execute large-scale simulations, and validate autonomous trucking technology. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to ensure simulations reflect real-world conditions and provide insights to accelerate software development.

What you'll do

• Develop test plans and create simulations to validate autonomous truck behavior
• Execute daily simulation operations including scenario running, triage, and reporting
• Optimize efficiency in test planning, scenario execution, and results tracking across large simulation suites
• Partner with engineers to ensure simulations accurately represent real-world driving conditions
• Design and execute structured tests covering safety-critical and edge-case scenarios
• Share simulation insights with autonomy software engineers and collaborate on infrastructure improvements
