Certification Engineer- Compliance and Product Safety

About this role

Lasko Products seeks a Certification Engineer to manage product compliance and regulatory submissions for home comfort appliances. This role involves preparing certification documentation, coordinating with testing agencies, conducting pre-compliance testing, and supporting product launches through regulatory readiness.

What you'll do

• Prepare and submit regulatory certification documentation and test reports to agencies like UL, CSA, and ETL
• Manage certification projects end-to-end, including coordination with external labs and timeline tracking
• Review engineering documents and determine certification requirements for new products and design changes
• Perform in-house compliance testing including heat rise, leakage current, and endurance evaluations
• Maintain certification files, compliance databases, and project tracking while managing renewal and annual reporting
• Support sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives including energy efficiency and RoHS requirements

What they're looking for

• Knowledge of regulatory standards (UL, CSA, ETL, EPA, HVI, CARB)
• Document review and preparation for regulatory submissions
• Project management and timeline coordination
• Technical proficiency with Excel and Word
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
• Basic hands-on testing and troubleshooting skills
• AI tools for documentation and workflow optimization
• Sustainability and environmental compliance knowledge
