Legal Engineer Associate

About this role

Legora, an AI-powered legal tech platform, seeks a Legal Engineer Associate to bridge law and technology in Chicago. You'll support client onboarding, design AI use cases for legal tasks, and translate user feedback into product improvements while gaining hands-on experience in legal AI transformation.

What you'll do

• Support client pilots, onboarding, and training to maximize platform adoption
• Design and evaluate AI use cases for contract review, legal research, and drafting
• Gather user insights and communicate actionable feedback to product teams
• Document best practices and create playbooks for deploying legal AI at scale
• Test AI outputs and identify where the technology meets or misses accuracy targets
• Collaborate across Legal Engineers, Customer Success, and Product teams

What they're looking for

• Legal knowledge or experience (J.D. preferred; paralegal/clerk work required)
• AI and technology curiosity with prompt engineering willingness
• Strong communication between legal and technical stakeholders
• Analytical and detail-oriented evaluation skills
• Adaptability and proactive problem-solving
• Workflow automation understanding
• Document analysis and review capabilities
