About this role
LG Electronics seeks a backend-focused AI/ML engineer to rapidly develop proof-of-concept projects by building APIs, data pipelines, and integrations with third-party AI services. The role bridges early-stage product concepts and working prototypes in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
What you'll do
- Design and iterate on backend APIs and data pipelines for AI/ML-powered proof-of-concept projects
- Integrate third-party AI services including LLMs, embedding models, vision, and speech technologies
- Evaluate AI providers and models, run comparative analyses, and document findings for stakeholder decision-making
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify project goals, identify requirement gaps, and drive technical discussions
- Document technical decisions and findings clearly for team visibility and downstream action
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams and communicate progress, blockers, and status proactively
