Development Engineer - CONTRACTOR

About this role

LG Electronics seeks a Development Engineer to support automotive component testing and software deployment at a customer site in Michigan. This contractor role involves setting up development environments, performing software updates to vehicle head units, and collaborating with engineers to resolve technical issues while supporting global automotive customers.

What you'll do

• Setup and maintain development/test environments and provide on-site technical support at customer location
• Perform software reflashing to head units using QFIL, Fastboot, and USB update methods
• Execute reproducibility tests and troubleshoot technical issues for customers
• Collect system logs and communicate findings with headquarters developers
• Handle PA writing for customer sample registration procedures
• Test vehicle systems including extended driving sessions and international travel

What they're looking for

• Software reflashing and firmware updates (QFIL, Fastboot, USB)
• Development environment setup and configuration
• Technical troubleshooting and issue documentation
• CAN tools experience (Vector CANalyzer, CANoe preferred)
• JIRA issue tracking software
• Automotive software testing knowledge
• Korean and English language skills (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
