Electrical Engineer- Warranty and Quality

About this role

LG Magna e-Powertrain USA seeks an Electrical Engineer to manage warranty and quality operations for electric vehicle components (inverters, converters, motors). The role involves analyzing returned parts, conducting root cause investigations, managing test equipment, and coordinating quality processes with customers and internal teams across multiple locations.

What you'll do

• Manage warranty center operations including receiving, analyzing, and repairing returned e-PT components
• Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations on defective parts using teardown and testing
• Maintain and oversee test equipment (EOL, charger/discharger, leak tester, environmental chambers)
• Lead APQP activities and PPAP documentation coordination for customer approval
• Respond to quality issues through containment activities and Product Review Report investigations
• Prepare technical reports and communicate quality status to customers and internal teams using structured methodologies
