Chip Firmware Validation Engineer

About this role

Lightmatter seeks a Chip Firmware Validation Engineer to develop and validate firmware for photonic AI processors and interconnects. You'll collaborate across hardware and software teams to conduct testing, debug embedded systems, and optimize the software stack for next-generation photonic products.

What you'll do

• Develop and validate device software and firmware for photonic compute and interconnect products
• Drive firmware validation testing using industry-standard debugging tools like GDB and JTAG
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define control architecture and validate integration
• Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems using logic analyzers and other diagnostic tools
• Define product architecture requirements and develop comprehensive validation test plans
• Perform data analysis and execute software stack optimization
