About this role
Lightmatter seeks a Mixed-Signal Validation Engineer to own architecture validation for its photonics-based Passage product, working across digital, analog, photonic, and software teams. You'll validate complex AMS circuits and photonic communication systems from concept through production, influencing product definition and design methodologies.
What you'll do
- Own mixed-signal architecture validation for Passage product line and influence designs from concept to production
- Validate system-level mixed-signal designs integrating AMS and photonic circuits including SerDes, ADCs/DACs, drivers, receivers, and modulators
- Collaborate with test engineers to validate hardware against simulation and translate pre-silicon verification to post-silicon validation
- Author, review, and validate architectural specifications and test methodologies
- Support architectural-level firmware validation and identify architectural improvements and mitigation strategies
- Work closely with architecture, chip design, and software teams to solve integration challenges
