Lila Sciences is seeking a temporary Robotics Engineer to enhance their Autonomous Science Platform, focusing on integrating and debugging robotic systems for scientific workflows. This role involves hands-on work with ROS2, motion planning, and real-world hardware integration, with the potential for extension or conversion to full-time based on performance.

What you'll do

• Develop ROS2 nodes and interfaces for robotic workflows
• Integrate physical robotic systems into the AISF environment
• Create simulation environments to test hardware deployments
• Debug hardware and software integration issues
• Contribute to motion planning, navigation, and perception tasks
• Document system configurations and procedures

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
• Strong ROS2 development skills
• Understanding of robot kinematics
• Proficiency with simulation platforms like Isaac Sim or Gazebo
• Experience with physical robots such as arms and mobile manipulators
• Knowledge in motion planning, navigation, or sensor fusion
